An Acuity Christmas

Darrell Brantingham: What gets me excited about the Holiday Season is that we celebrate Jesus Christ who came to us as a baby. The baby grew to love and heal people and then he gave his life for us and to us. Jesus is the reason for the season for me and that is not just repeating a trite statement. Without Jesus there is no Christmas. Without Jesus there are no gifts exchanged. Without Jesus, there are no decorations or lights. Without Jesus, there is no Christmas. So, I fill my life with adoration for Jesus Christ who came to this earth to be with us, save us and to give us abundant life. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Megan Swartzen: I’m excited to celebrate Christmas with my family. The holiday season is special because it gives us so many reasons to be joyful. This year is especially meaningful since we’re hosting a big family dinner—I love bringing everyone together. I’m also really looking forward to a slow Christmas morning, simply enjoying the spirit of the season and spending time with one another.

Joel Brantingham: This Christmas, I’m looking forward to taking a break from work and enjoying time with my family. Watching my daughters open their presents and getting to experience my 2 months old first Christmas. Being together with my whole family and enjoying soup from our soup cook off.

Alyssa Jendian: This Christmas season, I am most excited to spend it with my family. Since we moved closer to my husband's family, I look forward to time with mine all the more. Plus, they live in SoCal, so I am very ready for some sunshine since the Central Valley has been sun-deprived for more than 2 weeks this month. From our family to yours, we wish you the Merriest Christmas and Happiest of New Years!

Danya Allison: I am most excited for Christmas morning, when I get to see my kids’ faces light up as they open their gifts. It reminds me of the greatest gift that earth has received, the birth of a Savior, Jesus Christ. Their joy and excitement make the day feel truly special. Many blessings to you and yours during this Christmas season.

Shasta Millhollin: This holiday season, I’m especially grateful for the reminder that every good gift comes from above (James 1:17). I’m thankful for the people we get to work alongside each day, the opportunities God has placed before us, and the chance to slow down and enjoy time with family. I’m especially looking forward to celebrating Christmas with my dad and relatives in Southern California, and hopefully trading the Northern California fog for a little sunshine. As we head into the new year, I’m excited to carry a spirit of gratitude, generosity, and hope, trusting in God’s faithfulness in all seasons.

From our team to your family, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
